A San Francisco resident with Michigan roots, Duktap (Amy Cherette), has risen to prominence with her seamlessly mixed live DJ sets and acute producer’s ear. Known for her dreamlike sounds, smooth beats, and vibrant echoes that flourish throughout her music, Duktap’s ‘Vertigo EP’ is a heartfelt collection of songs that effortlessly pulls listeners on a journey through a wide spectrum of emotions.

Working primarily in Ableton Live, Duktap uses a unique range of production techniques, vocal editing, and elegantly crafted synths to create a distinct sense of space and ethereal tones. Her recordings of late night walks in San Francisco are a grounding feature of Duktap’s deliberate and inimitable sound, providing points of perspective and relatability on a basic human level.
